Mary Agnes Carter (1936 – 2025)

Mary Agnes Carter, 88, of Middletown, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at her home.

Mrs. Carter was born on December 31, 1936, in Carlisle, Kentucky, to the late Charles and Nannie Minton Mann.  She was also preceded in death by nine siblings.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Charles Rankin Carter of Middletown; two sons, Michael Louis Carter (Kathy) of Warrenton, Virginia and Bruce Houston Carter (Teresa) of Middletown; daughter, Carol Renee Wilkins of Emerald Isle, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Candace Wilkins, Samuel Carter, George Carter, Kyle Carter, Shelby Carter and Sharon Wasden; five great grandchildren, Liam Carter, Owen Carter, Camille Carter, Benjamin Carter, and Jarrett Wasden and one great great grandson, Ryker Wasden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Middletown Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 111, Middletown, Virginia 22645.
