Sally Kilpatrick Named Rotarian of the Year by Rotary Club of Warren County

The Rotary Club of Warren County has named Sally Kilpatrick its 2024–2025 Rotarian of the Year, recognizing her outstanding dedication, community spirit, and inspiring leadership in just over a year of membership. Known for her warmth, enthusiasm, and tireless work ethic, Kilpatrick has brought what members are calling “the magic of Rotary” to every meeting and project she touches.

Sally Kilpatrick (left), the Rotary Club of Warren County’s 2024–2025 Rotarian of the Year, stands with President Ellen Aders after receiving the club’s highest honor for her outstanding service and leadership.

Kilpatrick was nominated by Club President Ellen Aders, who described her as the perfect example of Rotary’s values: service, fellowship, leadership, and integrity. “From day one, Sally rolled up her sleeves and brought laughter, purpose, and vision into every meeting and every project,” said Aders. “She brings people in, builds them up, and makes sure everyone feels like they belong. That’s the Magic of Rotary in action.”

Though she officially joined RCWC in October 2023, Kilpatrick had already jumped into club activities five months earlier. Her quick involvement and eagerness to serve made an immediate impression. By April 2024, she was already named the club’s Youth Exchange Officer. In July, she stepped into the role of Membership Committee Chair, a position she’ll continue through 2026. Then, at the District Conference in April 2025, she accepted an additional leadership role as District Inbound Exchange Student Coordinator—an opportunity to support Rotary Youth Exchange students across the region.

Most recently, she accepted yet another major role: Secretary of the Rotary Club of Warren County for the 2025–2026 year.

Her current leadership roles include:

  • RCWC Membership Committee Chair
  • RCWC Youth Exchange Officer
  • RCWC Secretary (2025–2026)
  • District Inbound Exchange Student Coordinator

All of this in just over a year—and all done with a smile.

Kilpatrick says Rotary has become a second family. “Rotary has truly become a family to me,” she said. “If I need support in ANY way, these are the people I turn to. Similar to a church community, but different!”

Her connection to Rotary, both locally and beyond, has had a powerful impact. Through club meetings, youth exchange efforts, and new member outreach, Kilpatrick is helping the Rotary Club of Warren County grow stronger and more connected. Whether she’s planning events, welcoming new faces, or mentoring students, her presence is felt—and deeply appreciated.

The Rotarian of the Year award honors not just what Kilpatrick has accomplished, but how she’s gone about it: with heart, humor, and a genuine desire to make a difference. That spirit has inspired fellow members and brought new energy to club programs and outreach.

The theme for this Rotary year is The Magic of Rotary, and Kilpatrick’s journey perfectly reflects that spirit. Her story is one of quick action, deep service, and the kind of leadership that lifts others up.

The Rotary Club of Warren County is part of Rotary International, a global network of over 1.4 million members working together to create lasting change in their communities and around the world. RCWC meets every Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall of Front Royal First Baptist Church. Guests and prospective members are always welcome.

For those curious about joining, Kilpatrick is eager to connect and share her experience. “Please reach out!” she says. “Rotary has something meaningful for everyone.”
