Front Royal Presbyterian Church to Host Community Trunk or Treat Event

Published

on

Get ready for costumes, candy, and community fun! On Saturday, October 25, from 1 to 3 p.m., Front Royal Presbyterian Church (FRPC) will host its annual Trunk or Treat event in the church parking lot—inviting local families for an afternoon of safe, festive Halloween fun.

With decorated car trunks, buckets of candy, and lots of smiling faces, the event brings together children and families from across the area for a celebration that’s quickly becoming a favorite fall tradition.

A Fun and Safe Halloween Alternative

Trunk or Treat events first gained popularity in the 1990s as a safer and more centralized alternative to traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating. Instead of walking through neighborhoods, children walk from car to car, collecting treats from creatively decorated trunks—all while parents and volunteers keep watch in a well-lit, controlled environment.

FRPC’s Trunk or Treat is open to all families in the community, and there is no cost to attend. Volunteers from the church will be on hand to greet families, hand out candy, and ensure a fun and friendly atmosphere.
