The investigation into the death of Maryland resident John Patrick Donohoe, whose body was found Sunday, April 2 in Warren County, continues.

A hiker found the body of the 36-year-old Bethesda man Sunday near an entrance to the Appalachian Trail in Warren County. Donohoe was reported missing nearly four months ago, according to a media release from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Donohoe’s body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and an examination to determine the cause of death. Administrator Jennifer Starkey told the Royal Examiner on Thursday that the results are still pending.
Donohoe was the son of Bob Donohoe, chairman and CEO of The Donohoe Cos., a Bethesda-based real estate development company.

Front Royal Police Sergeant Crystal Cline said the vehicle was found parked on 4th Street, behind the post office on the south side of the street, facing east. She said the vehicle was locked, displayed no damage and held no personal belongings of Donohoe’s. The vehicle was processed the by Montgomery County Crime Scene Unit, according to Cline.
